The South

What’s a holiday without a road trip? Grab your sunglasses, turn up the music, and set your Sat Nav to Torre Delle Stelle Beach. But here’s a tip—skip the motorway. Instead, take the coastal road for a breathtaking journey along some of the island’s most stunning views.

Follow our pin to the car park and enter via the first exit (trust us—it’s much smoother than the second). The bonus? Parking is free all year round. You’ll also find a small supermarket nearby to stock up on essentials before you hit the sand.

From the car park, follow the unmade path to the beach: a sheltered little cove that’s perfect in any weather. In summer, you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas to relax in comfort.

Just ten minutes down the road lies another stunning oasis: Solanas Beach. As you drive over the mountain, you’ll catch your first glimpse of it—an unforgettable view of pristine sand and intensely blue water. For a quieter experience, we recommend heading to the far-left side of the beach, away from the main crowds. Parking is free year-round, and the main beach bar offers sun loungers, showers, and toilet facilities.

The East

Often featured in top beach rankings, Cala Goloritze is a secluded cove that can only be reached by a two-hour hike down the mountain or by boat. The reward is well worth the effort—its crystal-clear waters and dramatic limestone arch will leave you speechless. We recommend booking a boat tour from Santa Maria Navarrese. Prices vary depending on the type of boat and the number of stops. When it comes to beach hopping, remember: less is more.

The North

This part of the island is best known as the Emerald Coast, and it truly lives up to its name—the water genuinely resembles the vivid green of an emerald stone. Two of our favourite spots here are Puntaldìa and Cala Brandinchi. Access to these beaches is subject to compulsory reservation during the period from June 1st to September 30th. This link will tell you all you need to know before your visit https://santeodorospiagge.it/en/. Trust us, it’s totally worth it—you won’t want to miss these Caribbean-like havens.

You can’t leave the north of Sardinia without first visiting La Pelosa beach. The shallow, calm waters make it ideal for families and swimmers of all ages. The beach uses a reservation system similar to the one at the Emerald Coast beaches. You can find all the information you need at this link: https://spiaggialapelosa.it/en/

The West

The west coast of Sardinia, also known as the Green Coast, is a stunning stretch of dramatic cliffs, scattered islets, towering dunes, and desert-like beaches. For some of the best swimming and relaxation spots, visit Is Aruttas, Putzu Idu, and S’Archittu. Or head to Masua to see the striking offshore rock formation that has become an icon of this rugged coastline.

While in Masua, take some time to visit Porto Flavia, a remarkable sea harbour offering guided tours and spectacular views of the iconic “Pan di Zucchero” rock formation.

No matter where you go on the island, the beaches of Sardinia are sure to leave a lasting impression. So go ahead and book your next road trip to paradise!
