Located between Monument and Tower Hill, St Dustan in the East Church Garden is London’s very own secret Narnia. Originally built in 1100, it was severely damaged by the Great Fire of London in 1666 and again during the Blitz in 1941.
Today, it’s a beautiful city garden—wild and eerie in the best way. The moody, gothic ruins are softened by an abundance of ivy and trees that have been allowed to reclaim this Grade I listed building, making it a photographer’s paradise.
Entry is free, and the garden is open all year round, although the best time to visit is from spring to autumn.
